It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jose Rolando Ramirez, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. Jose, aged 71, departed from this world on November 26, 2023, in Corpus Christi, Texas, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering dedication.
Born on July 11, 1952, in Kingsville, Texas, Jose was the beloved son of Candelario and Dolores Ramirez. His journey in life led him to become a respected school administrator with Sinton I.S.D, where he devoted his career to shaping the minds and futures of countless students. His impact on education was marked by diligence, passion, and a genuine commitment to fostering growth and learning.
Beyond his professional achievements, Jose's greatest source of pride and joy was his family. For 46 years, he stood as a steadfast partner and devoted husband to Irene Ramirez. Their union was blessed with two daughters, Roxanne and Jennifer. Jose embraced his role as a father with unparalleled love and support, imparting wisdom and guidance to his children as they navigated life's journey.
Known for his affable nature and a quick wit that could bring a smile to anyone's face, Jose was a beacon of laughter and joy. An avid Dallas Cowboys fan, he shared his passion for the sport with family and friends, creating lasting memories during game days and celebrations. His generosity and selflessness were evident in the countless ways he extended a helping hand to others, embodying the true spirit of community.
Jose is preceded in death by his two sisters, Consuelo Ramirez, M.D.P.V.M.
He is survived by his adoring wife Irene of Corpus Christi, his devoted daughters Roxanne (Leigh) Ramirez and Jennifer (Adrian) Martinez, and his three brothers, Candelario (Irma) Ramirez, Gaspar (Yolanda) Ramirez, and Jesus (Gloria) Ramirez, all of Kingsville. His legacy lives on through his two cherished grandchildren, Raeanne and R.J., who brought immense joy to his later years. Additionally, Jose leaves behind numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews, all of whom were touched by his warmth and love.
Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during the visitation on Thursday, November 30, 2023, from 9:30 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home. A Rosary will be recited at 11:00 a.m., providing a moment of reflection and prayer for those in attendance. Following the visitation, a Funeral Mass will be held at 2:00 p.m. at St. Martin Catholic Church, officiated by Father Alfredo Villarreal. Cremation will follow.
