Jose R Loera, 86, passed away on January 16, 2014 in Corpus Christi, TX. He was born on May 18th, 1927 in Kingsville, TX to Jose M Loera and Rita R Loera.
Jose (Pepe) R Loera grew up in Kingsville, TX and attended Kingsville schools. He worked for Corpus Christi Army Depot until his retirement in May of 1986. Jose served the Knights of Columbus Council #2623 and was a board member on the Columbus Building Association as well as a board member of the Chamberlain Cemetery. He was recognized as an outstanding member of the community.
Jose married Elsa T Loera in Kingsville, TX. Jose and Elsa were married for 61 years.
Jose R Loera is survived by his spouse Elsa T Loera, His children Jose Loera III, Julie (George) Canales and Rene Javier Loera. Sisters, Rosaelia Salazar of Kingsville, TX, Oralia Perez of Corpus Christi. Brother, Roque Loera of Kingsville. Jose is preceded in death by his parents Jose M Loera and Rita R Loera and his siblings Magdalena Loera and Dalia Ramos.
Grandchildren: Jorge (Rebecca) L Canales, Rene Javier Loera Jr., Sergio Javier Canales and Briana Aidee Loera.
He will be dearly missed, but loved and remembered always by his family and friends.
