Jose G. Olivarez Sr., 82, of Kingsville, Texas passed away on November 12, 2023, in Kingsville, Texas.
He was born on April 12, 1941, in Eagle Lake, Texas to Julio and Andrea Olivarez
He was a retired maintenance worker with K.I.S.D. and previously worked for Walther Hawk Oilfield Service. He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Maria Antonia Olivarez; three brothers, Luis Guzman, Margarito Olivarez, and Guadalupe Olivarez; four sisters, Ninfa Salinas, Christina Price, Manuela Gutierrez, and Andrea Chapa.
Survivors include one son, Jose G. Olivarez Jr; one adopted son, Sam Sendejo III; one brother, Pedro (Ale) Hernandez; one sister, Maria Ortegon; two sisters-in-law, Grace O. Olivarez, and Grace M. Olivarez.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 16, 2023, from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home, with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, November 17, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with Father Paulson officiating.
Burial will follow at Santa Gertrudis Memorial Cemetery.
