He was born on April 27, 1962 in Mexico to Felipe de Jesus and Maria Luisa Mejia.
He worked with Escobar Shoe Repair for 20 years in McAllen, TX.
Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Mary Lou Mejia of McAllen, TX; one son, Jose Edwardo Mejia of McAllen, TX; father, Felipe de Jesus Mejia of Kingsville, TX; step-mother, Rebecca Mejia of Kingsville, TX; one sister, Patricia (Candido) Mendietta of Premont, TX; five brothers, Humberto (Blanca) Mejia of Edinberg, TX, Martin Mejia of Mexico, Juan Carlos (Melinda) Mejia of Kingsville, TX, Alejandro (Monica) Mejia of Falfurrias, TX, Ernesto (Sarah) Mejia of Kingsville, TX; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Mon., 01-04-2016 from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home.
A Rosary will be held on Mon., 01-04-2016 at 6:30 p.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Tues., 01-05-2016 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Martin's Catholic Church with Father Armando Ibanez officiating.
A cremation will follow with a private burial at a later date.
