Jose Israel "Izzy" Perez Jr., 60, a beloved resident of Bishop, Texas, passed away on February 12, 2024, in Kingsville, Texas, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.
Izzy was a dedicated employee of Valero Refinery in Corpus Christi, where he demonstrated hard work and commitment throughout his career. Beyond his professional life, he was a man of diverse passions that enriched the lives of those around him.
His love for rock music resonated in the hearts of all who knew him, and he found joy in going on cruise ships to the Caribbean with his wife. Izzy's fondness for family barbecues and fishing outings created lasting bonds and cherished moments. His green thumb and creative spirit were evident in his love for gardening and crafting. Izzy's love extended beyond people, as he found joy in the companionship of his pets.
In the nine beautiful years of marriage to his wife, Melissa Perez, Izzy created a home filled with warmth and love. He is also survived by his mother, Sara G. Perez; his son, Jacob Israel Perez; his daughter, Angelica Maria Soto; stepdaughters, Jessica Torres, and Cristina Castellano; sister, Leticia Perez Ramirez; brother, Francisco G. Perez; niece, Nadia P. Ramirez; nephew, Zachariah Perez; great-niece, Camila; and great-nephew, Fabian. Additionally, he leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 15, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home, with a Religious Service at 7:00 p.m., offering friends and family the opportunity to pay their respects and share memories.
A Funeral Service, officiated by Pastor David Garcia, will take place on Friday, February 16, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home. The service will be a moment to celebrate Izzy's life, honor his memory, and find solace in the support of the community that loved him. Full military honors will be rendered by the Alice Veteran Burial Association.
