Jose Encarnacion "Chon" Utley, 86, a resident of Kingsville, Texas passed away on January 13, 2023, in Kingsville, Texas.
He was born on June 4, 1936, to Encarnacion and Anita Utley.
He was a retired carpenter with King Ranch Inc.
He is preceded in death by one sister, Emma Munoz; three brothers, Willie Utley, Ernesto Utley, and Juan Utley; and one half-brother, Daniel Utley.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Amelia B. Utley of Kingsville; two daughters, Velma Utley of Kingsville, and Sylvia Utley-May of Calallen; four son, David Utley, Martin Utley, Johnny Utley, and Lauro Utley; three half-brothers, Jose Enrique Utley, Roberto Utley, and Homer Utley; eleven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 17, 2023, from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home, with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, January 18, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Martin Catholic Church with Father Alfredo Villarreal officiating.
Burial will follow at Santa Gertrudis Memorial Cemetery.
