Jose Angel Cerda, 70, passed away on March 20, 2026, in Kingsville, Texas. He was born on August 6, 1955, in Robstown, Texas, to Francisco and Elida Cerda. Jose touched the lives of all who knew him with his kindness, faith, and love for family.
Jose was a retired associate of Walmart and had previously worked for L & F Distributors. He was a man of strong faith who found joy in Christian music. He also had a passion for sports, especially cheering on the Dallas Cowboys.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Evangelina Y. Cerda.
He is survived by his son, Jose Angel (Crystal) Cerda II of Kingsville; his daughter, Aniceta "AC" Cerda of Kingsville; three grandchildren, Elijah (Ivrie), Ashirra, and Evalina; five great-grandchildren, Anthony, Ellie Jae, Anira, Elijah Jr., and Madam; two brothers, Daniel Cerda and Henry Cerda; three sisters, Noemi Monsibais, Guadalupe Espinoza, and Lydia Mireles; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, godchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home, with Pastor Julian Rangel officiating.
Following cremation, a graveside service will be held at a later date.
