Jose M. Basaldu, 94, of Kingsville, TX passed away May 26, 2022, in Riviera, TX.
He was born on December 28, 1927, in Riviera, TX to Hildo and Josefa Basaldu.
He retired from the Civil Service and was a U.S. Army Korean Veteran. He was a member of Templo Betel Assembly of God Church.
He is preceded in death by two sisters, Elida Calzada, and Eva Garza: three brothers, Adan Basaldu, Hildo Basaldu Jr., and Amado Basaldu.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Elida Basaldu of Kingsville; one son, Joe Basaldu Jr. of Kingsville; one grandson, Joaquin M. Basaldu of Kingsville; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 1, 2022, from 8:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home.
A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, June 1, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home with Pastor Victoria De La Paz Garcia officiating.
Burial will follow at Chamberlain Cemetery with full military honors.
