Jose Luis Alvarez, 66, of Kingsville, Texas, passed away peacefully on July 13, 2024, surrounded by his loved ones.
Born on May 18, 1958, in Kingsville, Texas, Jose spent his life bringing joy to those around him through his music. A retired musician, he was well-known as a talented drummer who played with various bands in the surrounding areas, leaving an indelible mark on the local music scene. His passion for music was matched only by his love for his family and friends.
Jose was a dedicated family man, cherishing every moment spent with his wife of 29 years, Glenda Ann Ramirez. He was a loving father to his son, Joe Henry Alvarez, and his daughter, Valerie Alvarez, and a proud grandfather to his several grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his beloved mother, Sulema R. Alvarez, whose memory he carried close to his heart.
Jose leaves behind a legacy of love and music, survived by his devoted wife of 29 years, Glenda, his children Joe Henry and Valerie, and an extended family including several grandchildren, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. His warm spirit and rhythmic beats will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
A Memorial Rosary to honor and celebrate Jose's life will be held on Friday, July 19, 2024, at 7:00 p.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home. Friends and family are invited to gather and share their memories of this remarkable man who touched so many lives.
