Joel B. Lopez, 81, of Bishop, TX passed away June 28, 2020 in Corpus Christi, TX.
He was born on May 19, 1939 in Falfurrias, TX to Francisco and Consuelo Lopez.
He retired at the age of 80. He was the owner and operator of Joe's Backhoe Service and served the community for 32 years.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Olivia Soza Lopez of Bishop; one daughter, Idolina Garcia of Bishop; one son, Joel Lopez Jr. (Charles) of San Antonio; two brothers, Roel (Eva) Lopez, and Noel Lopez, both of Bishop; three sisters, Francisca Hernandez of Houston, Rachel (Manuel) Rios of Roma, and Maria (Felix) Bocanegra of Robstown; two grandchildren, Sarah Garcia and Erica Garcia; one great-grandson, Jaxon Garcia.
Visitation will be held on Wed., 07-01-2020 from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home.
A Funeral Service will be held on Wed., 07-01-2020 at 1:00 p.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home with Pastor Lee Ortegon officiating.
Burial will follow at Evangelico Cemetery in Bishop, TX.
