Jo Ann Benitez, 72, of Zapata, Texas passed away on July 23, 2022, in Kingsville, TX.
She was born on December 7, 1949, in Victoria, TX to Rufino and Annie Trevino.
She was a retired special ed teacher.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George P. Benitez; one brother, Rufus Trevino; and two sisters, Maryann Trevino, and Sylvia Trevino
Survivors include two daughters, Annie Benitez of Zapata, and Amanda Benitez of Zapata; four sons, George L. (Gina) Benitez of Kingsville, Matthew S. Benitez of Houston, and Justin Benitez of Zapata, Timothy (Betty) Trevino of Victoria, and Juan Lucas (Rosie) Benitez of Victoria; three brothers, Lawrence Trevino, Ruben Trevino, and Lee Roy Trevino, all of Victoria; two sisters, Eva Gil of Corpus Christi, and Tina Lindemann of La Porte; six grandchildren, Alana, Kaydence, Dannika, Alex, Michael, and Katarina; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, 07-27-2022 from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home, with a Religious Service at 6:30 p.m.
Burial will be held on Friday, 07-29-2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Resurrection Cemetery in Victoria, Texas.
