Jeffrey Thomas Lawrence, 71, of Kingsville, Texas, passed away on October 1, 2024, in Corpus Christi, Texas. Born on November 20, 1952, in San Diego, California, to Kenneth and Doris Lawrence, Jeffrey was a man whose life was built on craftsmanship, creativity, and a deep love for family and friends.
A retired carpenter, Jeffrey was known for his precision, attention to detail, and the pride he took in his work. His passion for building extended beyond wood and nails, as he also crafted music with his soul. A talented songwriter and guitarist, he found joy in expressing himself through music, creating songs that captured moments of life, love, and reflection.
A lifelong Dallas Cowboys fan, Jeffrey's enthusiasm for the team was as strong as his devotion to the people he loved. Family was at the heart of everything he did, and he cherished the time spent with his loved ones, whether it was sharing stories, playing music, or simply being in each other's company.
Jeffrey is preceded in death by his brother, Michael Lawrence, and sister, Amy Lawrence. He leaves behind a legacy of love and is survived by his stepfather, John T. Peacock of Kingsville; two nieces, Virginia "Ginny" (Robert) Silguero of Kingsville and Kristin Lawrence of New Mexico; and two nephews, Michael Lawrence Jr. of San Antonio and Ryan Lawrence of New Mexico; his children, Kenneth Lawrence and Jennifer Lawrence.
A cremation will take place, and a Graveside Service will be held at Chamberlain Cemetery at a later date to honor his memory. Arrangements are under the compassionate care of Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home.
Jeffrey will be remembered for his artistry, his unwavering loyalty to his family, and the music he shared with the world. His spirit will live on in the hearts of those who knew him, and his legacy will continue to inspire.
