Israel Z. Mendietta Jr., 63, of Kingsville, TX passed away June 15, 2020 in Harlingen, TX.
He was born on October 28, 1956 in Kingsville, TX.
He was a retired welder. He was born and raised on the King Ranch and was a fifth generation kineño/cowboy. He also was an avid fisherman, hunter, and cook.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Sarita Z. Mendietta; and one sister, Maria Sylvia Saldana.
Survivors include two daughters, Donna (Joe) Mendietta of Corpus Christi, and Ashley (Cruz) Minjarez of Yantis, TX; one son, Jonathan (Lynzi) Mendietta of Corpus Christi; fiancé, Linda Wall of Kingsville; father, Israel G. Mendietta of Kingsville; one sister, Norma (Carlos) Escobedo of Kerrville; brother-in-law, Ramiro Saldana Jr.; ten grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Sun., 06-21-2020 from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home.
A Rosary will be held on Sun., 06-21-2020 at 7:00 p.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Mon., 06-22-2020 at 12:00 p.m. at St. Martin Catholic Church with Father Naul Ordonez officiating.
Burial will follow at Santa Gertrudis Memorial Cemetery.
