Obituary

Herman R. Cruz died peacefully on December 30, 2019 in Corpus Christi, TX at the age of 93.
Herman was born on April 20, 1926 in Brownsville, TX to Ruperto & Victoria Cruz. He married Eva Hinojosa, his beloved in 1946. Herman worked for a dry cleaning company in Kingsville, TX, where he and Eva raised their 8 children.
Herman was a World War II Veteran who served in the U.S. Army as a private stationed in Panama from 1945 – 1946. He was an active and dedicated member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Kingsville, TX where he faithfully served as a member of the Mutualistas.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Eva H. Cruz and daughter, Esther Cruz. Survivors include three daughters, Maggie Nobbie, Anita Garcia (Joe), and Norma Moralez & four sons, Herman Cruz Jr. (Irene), Rene Cruz (MaryJane), Hector David Cruz (Susie), and Jose Santiago Cruz (Gloria). He has several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home, Kingsville, TX on Sunday, January 5th, at 5pm. Rosary will follow at 7pm with Deacon Costly presiding. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Kingsville, TX with Father Paulsen officiating on Monday, January 6, at 10am. Burial will follow at Rest Haven Cemetery, Kingsville, TX.
