Hector Fidel Castro Hernandez, 58, of Kingsville, Texas, passed away peacefully on May 18, 2025, in Corpus Christi, Texas.

Hector was born on June 15, 1966, in Minas de Oro, Honduras, to Leonor Castro Hernandez. He later made his home in Texas, where he built a life rooted in love, hard work, and connection to his community.

A self-employed tree trimmer by trade, Hector took pride in his work and was known for his strong work ethic and cheerful spirit. He had a gift for conversation—he never met a stranger and could brighten anyone's day with his smile and stories. His forgiving nature and love of life left a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

Hector is survived by his loving wife of 17 years, Norma Castro; his son, Daniel Aleman; step-daughter, Liane (Hector) Zapata; step-son, Albert (Tami) Mejia III; his brother, Baudilio Ramon Castro Hernandez; and his sisters, Regina, Alejandra, and Blanca Castro Hernandez. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Cremation will take place, and a memorial service will be held at a later date to honor and celebrate Hector's life.
