Guillermo De Leon Jr., 43, of Mexia, Texas, passed away on September 20, 2026, in Mexia, Texas. He was born on November 16, 1982, in Kingsville, Texas.

Guillermo was a dedicated employee of J. Irwin Construction, where he served as Chief Operating Officer. Junior was loved by so many and will forever hold a special place in the hearts of everyone who knew him. His friends lovingly called him Gully and Pancho. He was a proud Dallas Cowboys and UT Longhorns fan, and he loved spending time fishing, catching game, or simply hanging out with his friends. And boy, did he love his mama’s cooking! He was always happy to share those meals with his friends. Junior was truly one of a kind—deeply loved, deeply cherished, and someone who will be missed more than words can ever express.

He was preceded in death by his father, Guillermo De Leon; his brothers, Alfonso De Leon and Agustin De Leon.

Those left to cherish his memory include his mother, Maria N. De Leon of Riviera, Texas; his sisters, Maria Amparo (Lupe) Benavides, Anabel (Karey) Barnes, and Maria Guadalupe De Leon; his brothers, Rene De Leon and Martin (Melissa) De Leon; along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and other extended family members and friends.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, from 8:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home, with a Holy Rosary beginning at 9:30 a.m. A Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home, with Father Alfredo Villarreal officiating. Interment will be held at Santa Gertrudis Memorial Cemetery.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Shane Threat, Brick Sullivan, Rodney Armstrong, Jason Lerma, Daniel Foster, and N.G. Cotton.

Guillermo will be deeply missed and forever remembered by his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched. His memory will remain in the hearts of those who knew him.
