Guadalupe R. Moya, 72, of Kingsville, TX passed away September 26, 2016 in Kingsville, TX.
He was born on March 2, 1944 in Kingsville, TX to Longino and Maria Moya.
He was a retired landscaper at Texas A & M Kingsville. He was also an accomplished musician in the surrounding area, and was inducted into the Tejano Roots Hall of Fame in 2014.
He was preceded in death by two sisters and three brothers.
Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Concepcion T. Moya of Kingsville; five daughters, Esmeralda (Martin) Chavez of Kingsville, Edelmira Moya Vasquez of Ricardo, Ennedina (Sal) Garcia of Ricardo, Maria (Arturo) Chavez of Kingsville, and Rosita Moya of Ricardo; two sons, Efigenio (Melissa) Moya of Kingsville, and Jerry (Naomi) Moya of McCamey, TX; 34 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, 09-29-2016 from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Home.
A Rosary will be held on Thursday, 09-29-2016 at 7:00 p.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, 09-30- 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Martins Catholic Church with Father Naul Ordonez officiating and Deacon Raul Rosales assisting.
Burial followed at Santa Gertrudis Memorial Cemetery.
