Guadalupe O. Cortez, age 78, a resident of Driscoll, Texas passed away Sunday, November 10, 2013 in Kingsville, Texas.
He was born on October 21, 1935 in San Benito, TX to Juan and Paula Cortez.
He was a retired laborer.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Amelia R. Cortez.
Survivors include four daughters, Guadalupe Rodriguez of Dallas, Raquel Garcia of San Benito, Amelia (Elias) Avila of Dallas, Leticia Carrasco of Rio Hondo; four sons, Juan (Anita) Cortez of Irving, Manuel (Linda) Cortez of Chicago, Illinois, Hipolito (Elsa) Cortez of Driscoll, and Noe (Erica) Cortez of Grand Prairie; one sister, Maria Olivarez of Florida; one brother, Carlos Cortez of San Benito; twenty-seven grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 13, 2013 from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home.
A Religious Service will be held on Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home.
A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, November 14, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home.
Interment will follow at Evangelico Cemetery.
