Gloria Vela Ramos, 73, of Bishop, TX, passed away August 31, 2015, in Corpus Christi, TX.
She was born on March 15, 1942, in Kingsville, TX, to Jose and Rita Vela.
She was a retired homemaker and a member of St. James Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jose C. Ramos Jr., and brother, Homero F. Vela, Sr.
Survivors include three daughters, Delia (Leo) Trejo, Dalia (Eddie) Morales, Delma Ramos, all of Bishop; one son, Jose Daniel Ramos of Bishop; three sisters, Maria Sandoval, Hilda Lopez, and Janie Ramos Lopez; five brothers, Jose F. Vela Jr., Andres Vela, Antonio Vela, Cesario F. Vela, and Clemente Vela; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A Rosary will be held on Wed., 09-02-2015, at 7:00 p.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home.
A Funeral Mass will be on Thurs., 09-03-2015, at 10:00 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church with Father John Xaviour officiating.
Burial will follow at St. James Catholic Cemetery.
