Geronimo Y. Cavazos, 61, of Kingsville, Texas, passed away on April 30, 2024, in Kingsville, Texas.

Geronimo was born on December 16, 1962, in his cherished hometown of Kingsville, Texas. As a local mechanic, he possessed a talent for fixing things and a generous spirit that extended far beyond his professional realm. Known for his versatility, Geronimo lent a helping hand to everyone he knew, leaving an indelible mark of kindness and selflessness in his community.

Beyond his work, Geronimo found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He was an avid fisherman, finding solace and excitement in the tranquility of the waters. Additionally, his creative soul found expression through painting art, and his green thumb thrived in the gardens and landscapes he cultivated.

Geronimo is preceded in death by his loving parents, Jose Ricardo Cavazos, and Marina Cavazos Torres. He leaves behind a legacy of love and warmth, survived by his devoted fiancé, Margarita "Margie" Campos, his two sons, Jovi (Michelle) Ybarra of Seguin, and Patrick Edlin of Kingsville, and a host of cherished family members and friends.

His memory will forever be cherished by his sisters, Gracie Cavazos of Kingsville, and Terry Garces of San Angelo, his brother Bobby (Norma) Cavazos of Kingsville, his granddaughter Mila Grace Ybarra, his nieces and nephews, Jesse Jr., Aaron, and Ian Garces, Amanda and Samantha Cavazos, his stepdaughter Melynda Campos, step-granddaughter Madelyn Bazan, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Visitation to honor Geronimo's life will be held on Friday, May 3, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home-Chapel A, with a Rosary service commencing at 6:30 p.m. A Cremation will follow, and a Memorial Service will be held at Santa Gertrudis Memorial Cemetery at a later date.
