George A. "Skip" Phillips, 75, of Kingsville, TX, passed away on November 26, 2015 in Kingsville, TX.
He was born on November 11, 1940 in Amsterdam, NY to James A. Phillips and
Charlotte A. Snell.
He was a member of the U.S. Navy for 8 years. He retired from Wilcox Furniture after 40 years of employment. He was also a member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Judith Rummler; and his in-laws, Pedro Montalvo and Teresa Montalvo.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Victoria "Vickie" Phillips of Kingsville; one son, James A. Phillips of Kingsville; five daughters, Kimberly Trevino of Kingsville, Theresa (David) Cavazos of Kingsville, Kathleen Jimenez of Kingsville, Michelle (David Ramos) Phillips, and Kristina (Esteban) Gomez of Kingsville; thirteen grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; one foster child; one brother, Kenneth Phillips of Portland, OR; two sisters, Sandra Bruse of Broadalbin, NY, and Edna Sulem of Panama City, FL; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Wed., 12-02-2015 from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home.
A Rosary will be held on Wed., 12-02-2015 at 7:00 p.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Thurs., 12-03- 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church with Father Peter Thenan officiating.
