Gary Alan Mettey, 65, passed away on July 9, 2022 in Kingsville, Texas.
He was born on February 5, 1957 in Fresno, California to Thomas and Yvonne Mettey.
He was a retired carpenter and a U.S. Navy Veteran. He was a former experienced chef with restaurants in Las Vegas and Nashville. Gary had a passion for leather crafts for over 30 years. He loved family gatherings and barbeques.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Laura Ann Hill; and one brother, Richard Anthony Mettey.
Survivors include two brothers, David Wendell Mettey of Corpus Christi, and Daniel (Elyssa) Mettey of Kingsville; two nephews, Jackson David Mettey, and Thomas Augustus Hill; and one niece, Jessica Yvonne.
A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, August 5, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. at Chamberlain Cemetery.
