Francisco R. Soliz, 92, a resident of Kingsville, Texas passed away April 12, 2023, in Kingsville, Texas.
He was born on May 15, 1931, in Kingsville, TX to Isidro and Antonia Soliz.
The family is a member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church.
He served in the U.S. Army and was a veteran in the Korean Conflict. He retired from the Dr. Pepper Bottling Company. He was an avid musician, played the accordian, and was recognized by the Tejano Roots Hall of Fame of Texas. During his retirement, he drove a school bus for Ricardo I.S.D. and Driscoll I.S.D.
He was preceded in death by two daughters, Gloria Soliz, and Josie LaCrosse; three sisters, Julia Soliz, Sarah Guerro, and Celestina Soliz; four brothers, Alejandro Soliz, Matilde Soliz, Isidro Soliz, and Roberto Soliz.
Survivors include his wife of 70 years, Aurelia R. Soliz of Kingsville; one daughter, Yolanda Soliz; three sons, Frank Soliz Jr., Raul (Patsy) Soliz, and Luis Soliz; one brother, Ramon Soliz; ten grandchildren, Misheall, Trisha, Raul Jr., Shana, Leo, Lythia, Luis Jr., Esteven Ray and Dorion; twelve great-grandchildren and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, 04-17-2023 from 8:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home.
A Rosary will be held on Monday, 04-17-2023 at 9:30 a.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, 04-17-2023 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church.
Burial will follow at Chamberlain Cemetery.
