Evangelina "Vangie" Muniz Longoria, 77, of Kingsville, Texas, passed away on November 21, 2025, in Corpus Christi, Texas.
Born on October 3, 1948, in Kingsville to Jesus and Maria Inez Muniz, Vangie lived a life rooted in faith, family, and community. She retired from the Kingsville Independent School District after many dedicated years as a truancy counselor and was formerly employed with Barclay Finance Co. A devoted member of St. Martin's Catholic Church, she exemplified kindness, loyalty, and a deep love for those around her. She cherished time spent with her family and friends, proudly cheered on her Dallas Cowboys, and enjoyed many joyful moments playing bingo.
Vangie is preceded in death by her brother, Jesus Muniz Jr.; her sister, Maria Elena Muniz; her granddaughter, Elissa Danielle Longoria; and her son, Rodolfo Longoria III.
Left to honor her memory are her husband of 54 years, Rodolfo G. Longoria Jr. of Kingsville; her sons, Daniel (Rosalinda) Longoria of San Antonio and David Longoria of Kingsville; her beloved grandchildren, Emilia Longoria, Elora Longoria, and Landon Joseph Grover; her sisters, Graciela (Guadalupe †) Olivarez, Sylvia (Rolando) Prieto, and Mary (Edward) Quinones; her niece, Monica Muniz; and numerous nephews, extended family members, and friends who cherished her deeply.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 24, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home, with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Martin's Catholic Church with Father Alfredo Villarreal officiating. Interment will follow at Santa Gertrudis Memorial Cemetery.
Vangie's presence, love, and unwavering faith will be forever missed and lovingly remembered by all who were blessed to know her.
