She was born on March 20, 1931 in Kingsville, TX to Carlos and Jesusa Ortegon.
She was retired from the upholstery business.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Santiago De La Rosa.
Survivors include three daughters, Mary Jane (Daniel) Campos of Lawton, OK, Diana (Mark) Kemp of Destin Beach, Florida, Elda (Don) Harding of Tocoma, Washington; six sons, Rolando (Rosie) De La Rosa of Kingsville, Santiago De La Rosa Jr. of Kingsville, Gilbert De La Rosa of Kingsville, Ruben De La Rosa of Kingsville, Robert De La Rosa of Kingsville, and Javier De La Rosa of Kingsville; two brothers, Demetrio Ortegon of Bishop, and Carlos Ortegon Jr. of Kingsville; one sister, Tina O. Silguero; twenty-three grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, 11-04-2014 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home.
A Rosary was held on Tuesday, 11-04-2014 at 6:30 p.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home and Friday, 10-03-2014 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church.
A Funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, 11-05-2014 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Martin's Catholic Church with Father Naul Ordonez officiating.
Burial will follow at Chamberlain Cemetery.
