Estela Covarrubias Moreno, 95 of Corpus Christi, TX passed away on October 18, 2022.
She was born on December 28, 1926, in Kingsville, TX to Daniel Covarrubias and Eliboria Leyva Covarrubias.
She was a loving wife, mother, homemaker, foster parent, and craftsperson.
She is preceded in death by her husband Gaudencio E. Moreno, daughter Maria G. Moreno, and her chosen son / brother Raul L. Sanchez; sisters Guadalupe C. Garcia, Aurora C. Canales; and brothers Daniel Covarrubias, Miguel Covarrubias, Jesus Covarrubias, and Rogerio Covarrubias.
Survivors include her daughters Raquel Moreno, Olga Moreno, daughter-in-law, Yolanda M. Sanchez; grandchildren, Sara (Michael) Howard, Marissa (Caleb) Brambila, and Stephanie (Randy De La Garza) Sanchez; great-grandchildren Isabelle, Matthew, Aubrey, Ezekiel, Darian, and Taygen; sisters, Maria C. Figueroa and Teresa C. Kiefling; as well as many nieces, nephews, God-children, foster children, and other family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, 10-20-2022 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home, with a Rosary at 6:30 p.m.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, 10-21-2022 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Martin Catholic Church.
Burial will follow at Chamberlain Cemetery.
