Ernesto Salazar Jr., age 54, a beloved resident of Kingsville, Texas, passed away on June 10, 2025, in Corpus Christi, Texas. He was born on July 9, 1970, in Kingsville, Texas to Ernesto Salazar and Herminia Perez.
Ernesto was a master carpenter all his life. He found much joy creating beautiful woodwork with his hands. His true pride and joy were his children and family. His favorite past times were spending time with his family, barbequing, fishing, and enjoying the Frio River.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Ernesto and Herminia Salazar; his sister, Cynthia Ann Escamilla; his daughter, Kristina Marie Salazar; and granddaughter, Kendra Salazar.
Survivors include his children, Crystal Nicole Salazar, Ernesto Salazar III, Michael Anthony Salazar, and Uliza Dolores Salazar, all of Kingsville, Texas; one brother, Eric Jacob Salazar of Richardson, Texas; grandchildren, Jenasis, Xylah, Rey, Julius, Anselmo, Cruz, Alazay, Elijah, Laiylah, Lauren, Arnoldo, Adrik, Adam, Charlize, Jacob, Arianna, and Julian; great-grandchildren, Rey IV, and Jaelean; and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 19, 2025, from 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home, with a Rosary at 10:00 a.m.
A Funeral Mass will follow on Thursday, June 19, 2025 at 12:00 p.m. at St. Martin's Catholic Church with Father Alfredo Villarreal officiating. Burial will be held at Santa Gertrudis Memorial Cemetery.
