Obituary

Enrique "Rick" Rene Garza, 55, of Austin, TX passed away March 3, 2015 in Austin, TX.
He was born on January 15, 1960 in Kingsville, TX to Jose and Eglantina Garza Sr.
He was formerly from Kingsville. He was a 1978 H.M. King High School graduate. He was formerly employed with Hazelton Laboratories (Monkey Farm in Alice, Texas). He also locally worked in construction and oilfield industries. His most recent employer of 18 years was Spansion Inc., where he worked as a wafer fab tech. He strongly believed in God, Family, and Sports and loved hunting with his father. He also was a big fan of the Los Angeles Lakers. Go Lakers!
Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Norma P. Garza of Austin; two daughters, Nyssa Rene Garza, and Mari Andrea Garza, both of Austin; one son, Enrique Rene (Tawnie) Garza Jr.; one granddaughter, Nalani Monet Garza, all of Spokane, Washington; three sisters, Hilma (Ray) Hunt of Calallen, Diana (Ociel) Garza of Kingsville, and Lisa Samo of Kyle; one brother, Jose G. (Lucy) Garza Jr. of Kingsville; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A Rosary was held on Fri., 03-06-2015 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Martins Catholic Church.
A Funeral Mass was held on Sat., 03-07-2015 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Martins Catholic Church with Father Naul Ordonez officiating.
Burial followed at Chamberlain Cemetery.
Arrangements under the direction of Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home.
