Elsa J. Varela, 87, of Driscoll, TX passed away on March 23, 2022, in Driscoll, TX.
She was born on June 1, 1934, in Bishop, TX to Emilio and Julia Jimenez.
She was a retired housewife, and custodian with Oxy Chemicals, she was also a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Robstown, TX.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Flaviano C. Torres; second husband, Rogiano Varela one brother, Emilio Jimenez; and three sisters.
Survivors include her four sons, Felipe (Anna) Torres of Driscoll, TX, Mario (Maria) Torres of Diceburg, TN, John Torres of Austin, TX, and Edward (Maria) Torres of Kingsville, TX; two brothers, Manuel Jimenez of Kingsville, TX and Rolando Perez of Riveria, TX; two sisters, Elva Jimenez of Dallas, TX and Ofelia Jimenez of Dallas, TX; seven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
With a Cremation to follow and a Graveside Service to be held at Old Collins Cemetery in Alice, TX at a later date.
Arrangements under the direction of Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home.
