Eliza Villanueva, age 70, of Premont, Texas, passed away on August 23, 2025, in Kingsville, Texas.

She was born on March 22, 1955, in Premont to Modesto and Beda Villanueva.

Eliza dedicated her career to education and worked as a teacher in Odessa, Texas, until her retirement. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who touched many lives with her kindness and warmth.

Eliza loved music, especially George Strait . You could always catch her on the dance floor having fun. She was a devoted Dallas Cowboys fan . She loved being surrounded by her family and found herself loving to do word searches with her grandchildren . She influenced many children during her time as an educator . Eliza loved her daughters , grandchildren and great grandchildren very much .

She is survived by her three daughters: Renee (Carlo) Vitela of Ohio, Rachel (Jose) Salinas of Odessa, and Rebecca (Duane) Simonson of San Antonio. Eliza was blessed with eleven grandchildren: Sabrina, Hector Jr., Bianca, Angel, Gian Carlo, Damian, Lucciano, Clarissa, Brianna, Elianna, and Oliver; and three great-grandchildren: Nico, Catalina, and Bryanna.

She is also survived by five sisters: Guadalupe Salinas, Rosa De La Rosa, Anna Maria Garcia, Virginia Tisdale, and Gracie Nebel; one brother, Modesto Villanueva Jr.; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Cremation will take place, and a Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home.
