Elda G. Lomas peacefully passed away at home in Corpus Christi, Texas surrounded by her family on Sunday, July 20, 2025, at the age of 91. She was born on December 08, 1933, to Samuel Garcia Sr and Eloise Longoria Garcia in Falfurrias.

Elda worked for 34 years as a Cafeteria Manager for Kingsville Independent School District, where she later retired in 1999. Her kindness and commitment to the students and staff left a lasting impact on those who knew her.

She was a devoted member of St. Martin's Catholic Church, where her faith remained a guiding light throughout her life.

Elda loved spending her time with family and friends. She had a huge heart and always made sure she was there for anyone in need.

Elda was reunited in Heaven with her parents; her husband Oscar Lomas, daughter Yvonne L. Cantu, brothers Leopoldo "Leo" Garcia and Samuel Garcia Jr, sisters Elma G. Perez and Irma G. Menchaca.

She leaves behind to cherish her memories her son Oscar R. (Patty) Lomas, grandchildren Michele (Arturo) Flores, Jose "JR" (Gabriela) Cantu, Eric J. (April) Cantu, Jenna Lomas and Marco Lomas,11 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great- grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews who will carry her memory in their hearts. As well as a special niece Melissa Menchaca.

Pallbearers will be Jose "JR" Cantu, Zachary Roe, Brandon Roe, Eric J. Cantu Jr., Clemente Menchaca Jr, and Danny Menchaca. Honorary Pallbearers will be Eric J. Cantu lll and Ethan J. Cantu.

Rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. on Friday, August 1, 2025, at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home in Kingsville with visitation beginning at 9 a.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Saturday at St. Martin's Catholic Church in Kingsville. Burial will follow at the Chamberlain Cemetery.
