Dora A. Silvas passed away on October 7, 2023, at age 95, in Kingsville, Texas.
She was born to Casamiro and Fidela Ayarzagoitia on May 2, 1928, in La Copita, Texas.
She was a retired home provider and a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Baldemar F. Silvas; one sister, Estefana Ayarzagoitia; seven brothers, Alvaro Ayarzagoitia, Fidencio Ayarzagoitia, Merardo Ayarzagoitia, Eloy Ayarzagoitia, Fidel Ayarzagoitia, Lionel Ayarzagoitia, and Noe Ayarzagoitia.
Among those left to cherish her memory are her two daughters, Enedelia Maria S. (Oscar) Gonzalez of Kingsville, and Crusita Maria Silvas of Kingsville; grandchildren, Melissa, Margaret, Melanie, Adrian, Marah, Erick, and Cierra; sisters, Ofelia Fritas of Lemore, CA, Eva Ayarzagoitia, and Elma Rivera of Bishop; seventeen great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held on Friday, October 13, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home, with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 14, 2023, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with Father Paulson officiating.
Interment will follow at Santa Gertrudis Memorial Cemetery.
