Obituary

Donaciano Gonzalez, 74, of Bishop, Texas, passed away peacefully on October 8, 2025, in Kingsville, Texas.

He was born on February 19, 1951, in Kingsville to the late Donaciano and Paula Gonzalez. A proud U.S. Air Force veteran and a skilled retired carpenter, Donaciano was known for his hard work, quiet strength, and devotion to his family.

He is preceded in death by his son, Darren Gonzalez; three sisters, Manuel Ramirez, San Juana G. Ortega, and Amelia G. Canales; and two brothers, Eutimio Gonzalez and Luciano Gonzalez.

Left to cherish his memory are his children: sons Donnie Gonzalez, Ronnie Gonzalez, and Stephen (Kristen) Gonzalez, all of Houston; daughter Alyssa Gonzalez of Humble, Texas. He is also survived by five grandchildren: Carissa, Korelyn, Jadah, Alysia, and Stephen Jr.; and three sisters: Maria G. Herrera, Germana G. Contreras, and SanJuanita (Tomas) Garcia, all of Bishop. Donaciano also leaves behind numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews who loved him dearly.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2025, from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home, with a Rosary at 9:30 a.m. to honor his life and legacy. A Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church, officiated by Father Francis Sebastian. Interment will take place at St. James Catholic Cemetery.
