Diana Garza Pena, 64, a beloved lifelong resident of Kingsville, Texas, passed away on October 16, 2024. Diana was born on September 11, 1960, to the late Jose Antonia and Belia Figueroa in Kingsville, where she lived a life full of warmth and kindness.
A retired homemaker, Diana was known for her gentle spirit and generous heart. Affectionately called the "Bingo Queen," she spent countless hours at bingo halls, bringing joy and laughter to those around her. Diana had a special place in her heart for animals and was always feeding and caring for the strays that crossed her path, showing her deep compassion for all living things.
Diana was a devoted mother and grandmother, who cherished her family above all else. She is remembered by her loved ones for her kindness, her selflessness, and her unwavering love. Diana is preceded in death by her sister, Ester Saenz.
She leaves behind a legacy of love through her children and grandchildren. Diana is survived by her daughter, Christina Ann Mireles of Kingsville; six sons, Carlos (Elvira) Mireles Jr., Christopher (Blanca) Mireles, Alexander M. (Gescika) Leyba, and Armando Leyba, all of Kingsville, as well as Petro (Sarah) Castillo of Victoria and Mark Anthony Castillo of Kingsville. She was blessed with eighteen grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews who will miss her dearly.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 18, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home, with a Religious Service at 7:00 p.m. Diana's family will honor her memory with a Graveside Service at a later date following cremation. The family finds comfort in knowing that she is now at peace, surrounded by love and warmth.
