Obituary

Diana Mayorga, 64, of Kingsville, Texas, peacefully passed away on March 16, 2024, surrounded by her family in the town she called home.

Born on January 15, 1960, in Kingsville, Texas, Diana was a cherished daughter of Luis Garay and Divina Dominguez. Raised with love by her devoted aunt, Santos Dominguez, Diana's upbringing instilled in her a deep sense of compassion and generosity that would define her life's journey.

Diana was a beacon of love and kindness, touching the lives of all who knew her as a daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, and friend. Her unwavering devotion to her family was evident in every aspect of her life. As a mother, she poured boundless love and guidance into her children, shaping them into the remarkable individuals they are today.

Diana is reunited in eternal peace with her father, Luis Garay; her mother, Divina Dominguez; her beloved aunt, Santos Dominguez; and her loving uncle and father figure, Leobardo Dominguez; her brother, Mario Cantu; and sister-in-law, Edie Mayorga. Though she may be gone from this earthly realm, her spirit lives on in the hearts of those she held dear.

She leaves behind a legacy of love and warmth that will forever be cherished by her beloved husband, Hilberto "Pete" Mayorga, and their children: Krystal (David) Ybarra, Amanda Mayorga (Mario), Jewel Mayorga (Tony), and her one and only son, Carlos Mayorga (Julia). Diana's heart overflowed with joy at the sight of her grandchildren: Tayler, JD, Olivia, Sophia, Jeremiah, Carlee, Rylie, Avery, Gabriella, Zaylie, Royce, and Roman, each one a testament to the love she showered upon her family.

She is also survived by her brothers, Angel (Claudia) Cantu, Jose Cantu, Leo (Angie) Cantu, Oscar Jr. (Elizabeth) Cantu, and Vito (Candace) Cantu; her sisters, Ana Elizabeth Cantu, Noelia Cantu, and Patty Cantu; brothers-in-law, Joe (Edie) Mayorga, Rene (Melissa) Mayorga, and Rick Mayorga; sister-in-law, Letty (Yone) Vela; mother-in-law, Julie Mayorga; as well as several nieces and nephews whom she embraced as her own, each one touched by her boundless love and care.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 22, 2024, from 8:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home, with a Rosary at 1:00 p.m.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, March 22, 2024, at 2:00 at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church.

In every act of kindness and every word of encouragement, Diana's legacy of love shines brightly, a guiding light for those she leaves behind. May her gentle soul find eternal rest, and may her memory be a blessing to all who knew her.
