Cynthia Longoria, 54, of Kingsville, Texas, passed away on March 17, 2026, in her hometown.
She was born on January 19, 1972, in Kingsville, Texas, to Raul Longoria and Maria Luisa Cortez.
Cynthia was known for her love of singing and her vibrant, joyful spirit. She had a beautiful soul and was a caring, generous person. She was truly the life of the party, filling every room with laughter, joy, and her vibrant spirit. Her love for her family was unwavering—she cherished her children deeply, and her grandchildren were her world.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernesto Salazar; her daughter, Kristina Salazar; two brothers, Humberto Rodriguez Jr. and Raul Rodriguez; and one sister, Yolanda Davis.
She is survived by her children: Crystal (Juan) Salazar, Ernesto Salazar III (Alejandra), Michael (Mary) Salazar, and Uliza (Mario) Salazar; and her husband, Joe Tejeda. She also leaves behind five sisters: Maria Rosario Silguero, Rosanna Rodriguez, Belinda Longoria, Maria Luisa (Ramiro) Amaya, and Frances Rodriguez (Robert); eighteen grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 27, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home, with a Rosary to be recited at 9:30 a.m. A Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 a.m. at St. Martin's Catholic Church, officiated by Father Alfredo Villarreal. Interment will take place at Santa Gertrudis Memorial Cemetery.
