Cristobal G. De La Rosa, age 71, of New Braunfels, Texas, passed away peacefully on August 19, 2026, in New Braunfels.
He was born on December 15, 1954, in Kingsville, Texas, to Adan and Beatrice De La Rosa. Cristobal was a former King Ranch cowboy and car salesman, as well as an employee with Halff Associates. He was a man of faith who cherished the time he spent with his family and friends. He had a love for the outdoors, guns, and the simple moments shared with the people who meant the most to him.
Cristobal will be remembered for the love he had for his family and the many memories he created throughout his life. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Maria Beatrice “Bea” De La Rosa; two brothers, Gumecindo De La Rosa and Adan De La Rosa; and three sisters, Eulalia “Chacha” Castillo, Nelda Rodriguez, and Janie De La Rosa.
He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Rosalinda A. De La Rosa of New Braunfels; five sons, Jose “Joey” De La Rosa, Cris “Con” (Monica) De La Rosa, Lee Roy Saenz, Adan (Adam) De La Rosa, and James Ledesma; four daughters, Eulalia “Lollie” (Juan) De La Rosa, Crystal (Alex) De La Rosa, Ida (Freddy) Gomez, and Cassandra “Cassie” (Mia) De La Rosa; twenty-one grandchildren; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 24, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home, with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 10:00 a.m.
A Funeral Mass will follow at 2:00 p.m. at St. Martin’s Catholic Church, with Father Alfredo Villarreal officiating. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
