Cecilia Olivarez Cortez, 62, a resident of Kingsville, Texas passed away January 27, 2018 in Kingsville, Texas.
She was born on June 10, 1955 in Kingsville, TX to Salomon and Julia Zapata.
She was a retired caregiver.
She was preceded in death by her fiancé, Juan Vela; one sister, Grace Garcia; and one brother, Manuel Cortez.
Survivors include one son, Trinidad "Noe" (Michelle) Cortez of Kingsville; four daughters, Melissa Ann Cortez of Kingsville, Monica Cortez (Verrick) of Houston, Maryvette Cortez (Russell) of Houston, Michelle Inez Cortez (Danny) of Kingsville; two sisters, Elena (Rudy) Vasquez of Kingsville, and Lori (Roy) Perez of Kingsville; one brother, Alfredo Cortez of Kingsville; twelve grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, 01-30-2018 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home.
A Memorial Rosary will be held on Tuesday, 01-30-2018 at 7:00 p.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home.
A Graveside Service will follow at a later date.
