Barbara Hilton Acuna, 64, of Kingsville, Texas, passed away on May 20, 2025, in her hometown.
Born on July 15, 1960, in Kingsville, she was the beloved daughter of Robert and Zulema Hilton. A proud native of Kingsville, Barbara was known for her vibrant spirit, kind heart, and unwavering love for her family.
A retired homemaker, Barbara dedicated her life to raising her children and nurturing a home filled with warmth, laughter, and love. She was a woman of many passions—an avid reader, puzzle enthusiast, and lover of the outdoors. Her big heart and even bigger personality left a lasting impression on everyone she met. Barbara spoke her mind with honesty and lived her life with fearless authenticity. She adored her beloved fur babies, Spot and Bear, who were always by her side.
She is preceded in death by her brother, Robert Joseph Hilton, and her nephew, Robert Joseph Hilton III.
She leaves behind a legacy of love in her husband, Bobby Acuna of Kingsville; her children, Ramiro Ricky (Rachel) Olivarez, Vanessa Ann (Omar Jr.) Flores, and Victoria (Ram) Lopez; and her ten cherished grandchildren: Ricky Olivarez, Nicolas Lopez, Zoe Lopez, Aliyah Reyna, Claire Lopez, Marcus Flores, Maximus Lopez, Jason Lopez, Kalie Flores, and Joseph Lopez. She is also survived by her sister, Shirley (Lee) Vela; five sisters-in-law, Connie Molina, Elva Vasquez, Gloria Acuna, Helen Loera, and Dora Tijerina; one brother-in-law, Antonio Acuna; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family who will miss her deeply.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 23, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home, with a Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m.
Cremation will follow, and a private memorial service will be held at a later date to honor her life and memory.
