Aurora De Leon Zaragosa, 75, of Chapman Ranch passed away on May 15, 2023, in Chapman Ranch.
She was born on March 15, 1948, in Bishop, Texas to Genaro and Maria De Leon.
She was a retired homemaker, who in her younger years also worked in healthcare, agriculture, and retail. She was a member of St. James Catholic Church.
She is preceded in death by one daughter, Lydia Aurora Zaragosa; three brothers, Rogelio De Leon, Rudy De Leon, and Genaro De Leon Jr.; one sister, Gloria De Leon Zaragosa; two great-grandsons, Hector Leodoro Perez, and Ramon Genaro Perez.
Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Dionicio Zaragosa; two sons, Christoval (April) Zaragosa, of Kingsville, and Miguel Dionicio Zaragosa of Kingsville; two sisters, Lucas "Cookie" Rangel, and Eva De Leon; two brothers, Rafael (Ramona) De Leon, and Hector De Leon; seven grandchildren, Valerie, Luis, Nicholas, Matthew, Thomas, and Paula (Ruben) Zaragosa Lerma; two great-grandchildren, Sabas Perez IV, and Noah Gabriel Perez; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and godchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 21, 2023, from 12:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home, with a Memorial Service at 6:00 p.m.
A Rosary will be held on Monday, May 22, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church with Father Luke officiating, and a Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 a.m.
A Cremation will take place and a Graveside Service will be held at a later date.
