Augustin L. Trevino, 80, a resident of Kingsville, TX died on October 1, 2014 in Kingsville, TX.
He was born on May 16, 1934 in Bishop, TX to Guadalupe and Matilde Trevino.
He was a retired concrete truck driver for 37 years with South Texas Materials/Alamo Concrete. He was formerly employed with Bryan-Roots Painting, and a former migrant worker. He was a member of the 4th degree Knights of Columbus Council #2623 and also a member of St. Joseph's Mutualistas. He was a former cancer survivor and very active in Relay for Life since 1998.
He was preceded in death by his son, Agapito Trevino.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Leonor R. Trevino of Kingsville; five daughters, San Juanita (Jesus) Gutierrez of Mission, Angie Trevino of Kingsville, Margie (Eloy) Hernandez of Sarita, Matilde (Noe) Zamora of Kingsville, Rosie (Liberty) Garza of Kingsville; two sons, David (Velma) Trevino of Kingsville, and Mando (Corina) Trevino of Kingsville; two sisters, Francisca Hernandez and Diana Briones, both of Driscoll; one brother, Rafael Trevino of Driscoll; twenty-five grandchildren; thirty-four great-grandchildren; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, 10-02-2014 from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home.
A Rosary was held on Thursday, 10-02-2014 at 7:00 p.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home and Friday, 10-03-2014 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church.
A Funeral Mass was held on Saturday, 10-04-2014 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with Reverend Peter Stanley officiating.
Burial will follow at Santa Gertrudis Memorial Cemetery.
