He was preceded in death by his father, Audencio Vela Jr.
Survivors include his wife, Juana Vela of Kingsville; mother, Elisa G. (Jose Q.) Silguero of Kingsville; three sisters, Mary (Albert) Pena, Amelia Carbajal, and Sylvia
(Rafael) Arredondo all of Kingsville; four brothers, Orlando (Belinda) Vela, Ignacio (Cindy) Vela, Fidencio (Norma) Vela all of Kingsville, and Erasmo Vela of San Antonio; numerous nieces, and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, 06-27-2017 from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home.
A Religious Service will be held on Tuesday, 06-27-2017 at 7:00 p.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home.
A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, 06-28-2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home with Elder Marcelino Zapata officiating.
Burial will follow at Santa Gertrudis Memorial Cemetery.
