Arturo T. Basaldua, 84, of Kingsville, TX passed away February 16, 2020 in Corpus Christi, TX.
He was born on May 16, 1935 to Telesforo and Manuela Basaldua.
He was a retired welder. He was a member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, and Knights of Columbus Council #2623. He was also very involved with the jail ministry.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Elma P. Basaldua; and one grandson, Daniel Orlando Basaldua.
Survivors include two daughters, Elma Dina (Rey) Gonzalez of Austin, and Laura (Marcos) Jimenez of Kingsville; two sons, Telesforo (Virginia) Basaldua of Belton, and Arturo "Artie" Basaldua Jr. of Kingsville; two brothers, Alejandro Basaldua and Baldemar Basaldua; and seven grandchildren, Carissa, Marcos, Abigail, Matthew, Mia, and Mika; and one great-grandson, Xavier.
Visitation will be held on Thurs., 02-20-2020 from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home.
A Rosary will be held on Thurs., 02-20-2020 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Fri., 02-21-2020 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church.
A Cremation will follow and a private Graveside Service will be held at a later date.
