Obituary

Antonio D. Salazar, 78, of Kingsville, Texas, passed away on December 29, 2024, in Corpus Christi, Texas, surrounded by his family.
Born on September 13, 1946, in Kingsville, Texas, to Ambrosio and Aurelia Salazar, Antonio lived a life filled with hard work, devotion, and a deep appreciation for family. He was a retired electrician whose meticulous work and dedication earned him the respect of colleagues and friends.
Antonio's greatest joy came from spending time with his family and friends. He cherished moments of togetherness, whether at family gatherings or quiet moments of conversation. His love extended beyond words, and his kind heart will remain an enduring memory for all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Prudencio Salazar, and sister, Gloria S. Rios.
He is survived by his wife of 14 years, Elodia B. Perez, of Kingsville. Antonio also leaves behind two sons; three daughters, Elizabeth (Tracy) Culp, Edina (Esau) Perez, and Erika (Jerry) Hethcoat; six grandchildren, Victoria, Deven, Tyler, Ethan, Matthew, and Connor; and three great-grandchildren, Isaiah, Damian, and Jayden, who brought immense pride and happiness to his life.
Antonio is also survived by four sisters, Sheila Anguiano, Rosie Salazar, Gracie Presas, and Mary Lou Gonzalez; one brother, Ambrosio Salazar Jr.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will take place on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, from 8:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home, offering family and friends an opportunity to gather in remembrance and celebration of a cherished life. A Rosary will be recited at 10:00 a.m., providing a moment of collective prayer and reflection.
Following the visitation, a Funeral Mass will be held at 2:00 p.m. at St. Martin's Catholic Church, officiated by Father Alfredo Villarreal. The service will honor the legacy of love, faith, and cherished memories. In accordance with the family's wishes, a private cremation will take place afterward, ensuring a peaceful farewell.
Antonio will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who were fortunate to know him. His legacy of love, humility, and family values will continue to live on in the hearts of those he leaves behind.
