Anita Bazan Muniz, 88, of Kingsville, Texas, passed away peacefully on December 15, 2024, in her hometown. Anita was born on November 25, 1936, in Kingsville, Texas, to Severo and Petra Bazan. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose legacy of love and faith will forever live in the hearts of those who knew her.
A retired homemaker, Anita dedicated her life to her family and her faith. She was a woman of unwavering devotion and a longtime member of Templo Betel Assembly of God church. Known for her open heart and welcoming spirit, Anita's home was a haven for anyone in need of a warm meal or comforting conversation. Her joy was found in spending time with her family and attending community events, where her presence brought light and warmth to all around her.
Anita is preceded in death by her sister, Graciela Garcia, and her brother, Daniel A. Bazan. Her legacy is carried on by her children, Jose Luis Muniz, Severo "Jimmy" Muniz, Miguel Antonio Muniz, Anna Maria Muniz, Esther M. Dunlap, and Petra M. Gaither; her siblings, Pablo A. Bazan, Mario A. Bazan, Heriberto P. Bazan, Elvira Rodriguez, Angelica P. Acuna, Herlinda Reyes, Yolanda Padilla, and Debbie Barrera. She was a cherished grandmother to twenty-eight grandchildren, a great-grandmother to seventy-four great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandmother to seventeen great-great-grandchildren. Anita also leaves behind numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and countless others whose lives she touched.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 20, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home. A Religious Service will take place at 7:00 p.m. during the visitation. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, December 21, 2024, 10:00 a.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home, with Pastor Daniel Jimenez officiating. Following the service, Anita will be laid to rest at Chamberlain Cemetery.
