Amador Gutierrez, 63, of Bishop, Texas, passed away peacefully on October 16, 2024, in Corpus Christi, Texas. Born on November 21, 1960, in Kingsville, Texas, to the late Ramiro and Jovita Gutierrez, Amador lived a life full of joy, love, and dedication to his family.
Amador spent most of his career in food service, where he was known for his hard work. He had a passion for sports and was always up for a lively conversation about the latest game. Amador's happiest moments were spent surrounded by his large, close-knit family, and his love for them was boundless. He also adored his pets, especially his beloved Mila and Pappas, who brought him great comfort and companionship.
Amador was preceded in death by his brothers, Carlos Gutierrez and Manuel Gutierrez. He is survived by his cherished siblings: Rey (Refugia) Gutierrez of George West, Texas; Raquel (Jose) Flores of Ricardo; Ramona (Ruben+) Mechell of Bishop; Ramiro (Mary) Gutierrez Jr. of Ricardo; Mary (Jaime) Lopez of Ricardo; Daniel (Sylvia) Gutierrez of Kingsville; Delia (Robert) Garcia of Kingsville; Norma (Leonel +) Rangel of Bishop; Anselmo "Sammy" Gutierrez of Bishop; Jesse (Rosie) Gutierrez of Ricardo; Roberto "Bobby" (Yolanda) Gutierrez of Concepcion; and Patricia Gutierrez of Bishop. He also leaves behind two devoted sisters-in-law, Eloisa Gutierrez and Ofelia Gutierrez. Amador was a beloved uncle to numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews, who will all carry his memory in their hearts.
A Graveside Service will be held at St. James Catholic Cemetery, with cremation to follow at a later date. Amador's legacy of love, joy, and warmth will be forever remembered by those who had the privilege to know him.
