Amadeo M. Alvarez, 87, of Kingsville, TX passed away on July 16, 2014 in Kingsville, TX.
He was born on July 5, 1927 to Mr. & Mrs. Constancio (Guadalupe) Alvarez in Realitos, TX.
He was a retired a/c and refrigeration technician with Texas A&I University Physical Plant. He was also a member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dora G. Alvarez; and daughter, Doris Lee Lomas.
Survivors include one son, George (Gracie) Alvarez of Kingsville, TX; three daughters, Thelma Baud of England, Jo Ann (Robert) Garza and Amanda (Jorge) Garcia both of Deer Park, TX; two brothers, Elson Alvarez of Nogales, AZ and Santiago Alvarez of Kingsville, TX; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church with Father Peter Thenan officiating.
Burial followed at Santa Gertrudis Memorial Cemetery.
