Agustin L. Mata, 78, of Kingsville, Texas passed away December 4, 2024 in Kingsville, Texas.

He was born on November 15, 1946, in Kingsville, Texas to Pedro and Juanita Mata.

Agustin was a retired plumber. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Graciela G. Mata; one brother, Pedro Mata Jr.; and one sister, Juanita Mata.

Survivors include one daughter, Anita Mata of Kingsville; four sons, Agustin Mata Jr. of Kingsville, Luis D. Mata of Kingsville, Daniel (Erin) Mata of Leetsdale, PA, and Michael (Theresa) Mata of Kingsville; eight grandchildren, Israel, David Lee, Adriana, Cassandra, Agustin III, Julian, Eric, and Brodie; nine great-grandchildren; two sisters, Maria Mata, and Oralia De Leon; one brother, Jesse Mata; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 6, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home.
A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home.
Burial will follow at Chamberlain Cemetery.
