Adan Loya Flores, Jr., 79, of Kingsville, Texas, passed away peacefully on December 22, 2024, surrounded by the love of his family.
Born on May 8, 1945, in Kingsville, Texas, to Adan and Elodia Flores, Adan lived a life defined by dedication, service, and joy. He was a proud U.S. Marine and Vietnam veteran, exemplifying courage and honor throughout his life. After his military service, Adan became a respected tool pusher with CC Forbes, where his unmatched work ethic and commitment earned him the admiration of his colleagues.
Adan had an undeniable passion for music and cherished time spent with his family. His laughter and joy filled every gathering, making him the heart of every celebration. Known for his hardworking spirit and devotion to his job, he balanced his professional life with a deep love for his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Darlene V. Flores, and his sister, Soila Acevedo.
Adan's legacy lives on through his loving family: his five sons, Adan (Cindy) Flores III, Moses Flores, David Flores, Francisco Adan Flores, and James Vasquez; his three daughters, Sandra (Armando) Gonzalez, Selina Vasquez (Andrew), and Sabrina Vasquez (Raevan); fourteen cherished grandchildren, Armando, Kimberlee, Isabela, Aidan, Jacob, Marcos, Erik, Erica, Adelia, Ember, Lorelai, Joseph, Sofia, and James Jr.; and four treasured great-grandchildren, Abel, Julian, Jordan, and Zayden.
Visitation will take place on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass, officiated by Father Alfredo Villarreal, will follow at 11:00 a.m. at St. Martin's Catholic Church. Interment with full military honors will be held at 1:00 p.m. at Coastal Bend Veteran's Cemetery.
