Abelardo "Abel" Maldonado, 70, of Riviera, TX passed away on April 14, 2020 in Kingsville, TX.
He was born on February 17, 1950 in Kingsville, TX to Mr. and Mrs. Adan and Maria Maldonado.
He was a retired heavy equipment operator for Kleberg County Precinct #3. He was also a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Riviera, TX.
He was preceded in death by his two sisters, Elvia Rubalcaba and Elva Garza; and one brother, Leopoldo Maldonado.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Dora Maldonado of Riviera, TX; one son, Abel Maldonado Jr. of Sherrills Ford, North Carolina; one daughter, Irene Maldonado of Riviera, TX; two sisters, Zulema Maldonado of San Antonio, TX, and Maria Maldonado of Houston, TX; one brother, Mario Maldonado of San Antonio, TX; three grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thurs., 04-16-2020 from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home.
A Rosary will be held on Thurs., 04-16-2020 at 6:30 p.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home.
A Funeral Service will be held on Fri., 04-17-2020 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Father Varghese Ethappiri officiating.
Burial will follow at Riviera Cemetery.
